Manchester City Hammer Man United 4-1 in the Manchester Derby

Manchester City hammered Manchester United 4-1 in the Manchester Derby yesterday underlining their bid for the English Premier League title this season. A strong Man City folded Man United’s defense leaving the Red Devils stunned in Etihad Stadium.

A Manchester City Comeback

Manchester City have been somewhat flailing in their last few games but made a strong comeback in Sunday’s game at home. The team brought out its pizzazz and worked its magic against longtime rivals United.

Jadon Sancho Makes a One-Goal Reply to Man City in the Manchester Derby

In turn, Man United’s Jadon Sancho scored the side’s only goal showing just how important a role he can play on the team. Sancho had been benched for a while, as usually happens, and brought in during the last half of the game to stir things up. Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo joined United, a lot of the star signings and young players have had to be benched as there are too many stars in the team who need appeasing. United needs to appease its star players to keep them in the team and to also always give them a challenge to tickle their ability.

Harry Maguire Still on the Decline in His Leadership and Defensive Capabilities

Man United have increasingly been disappointed by their defender cum captain Harry Maguire who has continually flailed in his leadership and defensive capabilities. Maguire in yesterday’s game collected a yellow card, an indication of his further decline. His poor performance and character on and off the pitch has led to calls for him to be benched or even transferred. Maguire was picked as captain by former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and that was, in the eyes of many, one of Ole’s bad decisions.

Is Maguire to Blame for the Lack of Leadership in Manchester United?

Numerous fans feel that his lack of leadership and character is to blame for the weakening of United this season. There were even reports that he had argued with Cristiano in the locker room curtailing CR7’s newly-found leadership stature in the team.

Manchester City Remain at the Top of EPL Standings as United Drops off the Top Four

Man City’s win further cements their place on top of the EPL table with 69 points. 😂😂 On the other hand, Manchester United fell to fifth place with 47 points, indicating that if they’re not careful, they could end up missing a spot in the top four. United need to pull up their socks in a major way and balance out their star power with effective game strategizing.
